U.S. Official Mail Stamps & Postal Stationery
Official Mail stamps are, or were?, a new stamp program initiated by the USPS in 1983, beginning with six values of sheet stamps and one coil value, Scott O127-33 and O135. Unlike the Officials of 1873 which bore the name of the agency using the stamps (State, War, Treasury, etc) the modern Official Mail stamps bore a stylized Great Seal design for all issues and all usages. Below we present a comprehensive listing of stamps, postal stationery, postal cards, and First Day Covers.
