Great Britain Classics - 1840 to 1940

The tradition of Great Britain begins with the first postage stamp, the unique idea of Sir Roland Hill, and his idea of a pre-paid postage stamps. The result was the stamps known as the 'Penny Black', a 1-pence stamp, black in color, with an engraved image of Queen Victoria.
