On takeoff from Daytona Beach First Flight of spur service, Pilot C.J. Faulkner's motor failed and plane plunged into river. 500 lbs of mail watersoaked, was forwarded without special markings as the mail was delayed only 4 hours. Covers do show signs of water damage, this cover has some ink runs and the stamp (probably a C11 based on size of empty space) was lost.
