U.S. Stamp Issues of 2014

With the rate change in January 2014, the USPS required a new stock of stamps to respond to the increased rates. This has produced a nice array of new issued for the collector; both US and topicals collections. In addition the continuation of the New Year issue, the Black Heritage Series. We will continue to supply the individual stamps, setenants where appropriate, Plate Number Blocks and Plate Number Coils, and full panes.

US Cork and Fancy Cancel Classics

Prior to the era when cancels were required by postal regulations to be standardized the individuality of postmasters shown through producing classics for your collection. Postage Stamps of the U.S. Possessions, issued by the U.S. Postal Authority, include stamps of the Canal Zone, Cuba, Hawaii, Guam, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Danish West Indies and the Ryukyu Islands. US Postal Stationery

Collecting U.S. Postal Stationery includes cut squares (the corner cut from the envelope) and entires (the full envelope) of prestamped envelopes that have been made available by the post office beginning in 1853. Our offerings of air mail postal stationery include the Aerogram letter sheets introduced in 1947 and very popular for eliminating weight (and cost) of airmail letters. Our early stock includes many with interesting usages and fancy cancels..

US Precancels

Collecting Precancels can be an inexpensive stamp collecting hobby. Collecting all of the pre-cancels from all of the post offices of your state can be a rewarding challenge. Precancels were used on virtually all bulk mail and much parcel post during the 1920s. Today their usage is much in decline, whith only a hadnful of post offices in the country still using precancels with city names, other than philatelic usage.

US Trust Territories

Modern Day United States Possessions include The Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and Palau. Palua, a territory of some 100 islands and islets that form the western Caroline Islands began issuing its own stamps in 1983. The Marshall Islands in the western Pacific Ocean and The Federated States of Micronesia, chain of 600 islands in the western Pacific, began issuing stamps in 1984. Modern stamp collectors love these stamps!
